Paul Moorcroft and reseachers identify rising temperatures, drought, fire and rising CO2 as a few causes of increasing rates of tree mortality in moist tropical forests. In a study in New Phytologist, the team of researchers examine the drivers, mechanisms and interactions for increasing mortality rates and suggest steps to better understand and predict future mortality under climate change.
